03 May UCLAN Colour Run Fun for Marie Curie Charity
Last week in April I joined group of photographers from Preston Photography Society to capture the colourful event organised by UCLan – Colour Fun Run on Saturday 23rd April 2016. UCLan Colour Fun Run was back for the second time and this time it was even bigger and better on a bright sunny day!
The sky was clear and bright and air was blazing with colour as hundreds of sure-footed people participated from young children to students, staff and members of the public to run 5km at UCLan Sports Arena while being showered with vibrantly coloured powder along the route.
The event started with Chinese dragon dancer by very talented group followed by drum players who made the event even more fun and entertaining. There were students, children and even families who participated to raise the money for good cause. The arena teamed up with cancer charity Marie Curie for the event, with people paying to enter and some raising money for charity through sponsorship.
I witness this event for the first time and absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. I hope you all enjoy the pictures that I have taken on the day.
